The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic administrator to join our Finance team in a permanent full-time capacity as Finance Administrator - Property. 

You will reconcile accounts relating to property leases of QLDC owned buildings and  permits and licences for properties and reserves.  You will work closely with Property Managers and Financial and Management Accountants to ensure all property accounts are maintained and reconciled between accounting systems.  This role will also carry out various accounting and administrative functions within the finance department, particularly as backup support to other areas of the finance team when required e.g. daily banking during peak bank allocation periods, 20th of the month and rate instalment dates.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will ideally hold:

  • A minimum education Level 4 NZQA qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in an office administration, finance, or customer service role (property administration or Local Government experience will be warmly received).
  • Strong numerical skills, with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Competency in a range of desktop applications including Microsoft Office (Familiarity with Xero, Released and/or Technology One will be warmly received). 
  • Previous experience in process/ system improvement and implementation of new systems and process documentation. 
  • Strong planning and organisational skills 
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
  • The ability to prioritise work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • A highly motivated, achievement-oriented and innovative approach.
